Horizon Forbidden West continues the story of the award-winning Horizon Zero Dawn. It is truly a refreshing experience with a unique take on the post-apocalyptic theme, guaranteed by the mixture between science fiction and fantasy. This mixture is embodied by the presence of robotic creatures which behave and resemble animals that used to roam the planet. Humans, on the other hand, having lost their cities, live now in scattered tribes. They have no access to the technology of the past and have to hunt for parts in order to survive.
The far-future
Forbidden West takes the player to the future of only six months after the previous installment. Alloy, the main heroine, has to figure out the source of the game’s biggest threat: the mysterious storm and the device that has the power to unleash them. Once again, she will have to fight robotic creatures using an arsenal of different melee and ranged weapons.
World open like never before
Horizon Forbidden West upgraded some of the mechanics that were not available previously. Players can now climb and use a variety of tools to explore an incredibly diversified world, such as gliders, grappling hooks, and equipment to swim in the deep waters.
