Game overview
Shift At Midnight is an online co-op horror game for up to 3 players. Players manage a gas station while identifying and dealing with doppelgangers disguised as human customers. Each shift is randomly generated, and failing to identify a doppelganger before they leave triggers a survival phase.
Gas station management
Between customer interactions, players handle routine store operations.
- Stock shelves, take deliveries, and keep the store clean
- Serve customers and meet a sales quota each shift
Customer investigation
Each customer must be assessed to determine whether they are human before being allowed to leave.
- Examine ID, cross-check details on the in-store computer, and observe customer behavior
- Doppelgangers that leave undetected return during the shift as hostile creatures
- Players can execute a customer on-site if they are identified as non-human
Survival phase
If a doppelganger escapes, the shift enters a survival mode.
- Barricade doors, place traps, and find hiding spots
- Survival is not guaranteed once creatures return
Multiplayer
The game supports up to 3 players online with proximity voice chat.
