Description

Sid Meier's Civilization VI (PC) Steam Account - GLOBAL

Why you should buy Sid Meier's Civilization VI:

  • You wish to create your own civilization and let it grow.
  • You love to feel the godlike power of controlling the world.
  • You are a history fan, or you want to expand your knowledge.

Civilization VI is an updated version of the popular strategy game Civilization V, and it features numerous improvements to the systems from previous versions. It retains many of the features that made the series popular: randomly generated, Earth-like maps; a focus on interactions between civilizations; and giving the player a chance to become one of many immortal historical leaders guiding their cultures to global domination through the centuries.

Civilization VI introduces districts, specialized zones that support cities. Constructing a district requires a free tile, and is subject to certain requirements. For example, if you want to build a campus supporting science projects in one of your cities, it must be built near mountains. Campuses encourage specialization of cities and careful planning to make sure that the districts you want can be built.

Diplomacy in Civilization VI is improved over previous games. All AI-managed leaders now have two agendas defined by their civ's policies and attitudes. One is known from the start, the other will be hidden for your own leader until further effort is put into discovering it over future contacts. Similarly, the interaction of city-states are improved in Civ VI: influence over them needs to be earned by special missions and is represented by the number of envoys your Civ has in a given city state.

Game's new Tech and Civics system streamlines the path to a Cultural Victory, by splitting up Military and Culture technologies. A variety of new buildings and wonders are available in the Civics tree, including Drama & Poetry, which unlocks Social Policies for use in your Government.

Civs can now advance certain technologies by building certain buildings and unlocking certain resources. To build masonry, for example, you'll need a quarry. Conversely, if you lose a resource or a building connected to a technology, you will find it harder to research that technology. The Eureka moment system has also been reworked. In earlier versions of Civilization, Civs would receive breakthroughs in specific technologies when they performed an action related to that technology (for example, discovering horseback riding after defeating an enemy on horseback). Now these Eureka moments are based on achievements rather than actions—for example, defeating an enemy with ranged weapons may lead to a breakthrough in ranged weapon research.

The diplomacy system was overhauled, making it easier to discern the intentions of other nations. With the new policy cards available in each game, you are able to customize your government according to your needs. The look and feel of Civilization V has been updated as well; the graphics have been upgraded and more vibrant colors were added.
