Company of Crime is a unique criminal empire-builder set in the vibrant, culturally diverse 1960s London. You can choose one of two distinct paths: either build a company that will own the criminal underworld as a gang leader, or, play as the chief inspector of Scotland Yard’s famous Flying Squad to tear it down piece by piece. Your quest will take you to pubs, clubs, tailors, harbors, and many other locations as you expand your influence. The ultimate goal is clear: who will take London?
Tactical Melee Combat and Heat Mechanics
The core gameplay features tactical turn-based melee combat with a focus on tight spaces, setting it apart from other strategy games. A key mechanic is the Heat system: when conducting dirty business, you must be wise and silent, as loud gunfire or shooting will only attract more opposition and jeopardize your criminal empire. You'll progress by Building legit business with criminal means, "convincing" people to sell or ignore your backroom activities. If playing as the police, the gameplay is Reactive, getting the call only after violence breaks out, demanding clever investigation to find evidence. Regardless of your side, your success depends on managing your team of either specialized gang members or masters of investigation.
