What is FIFA 22?
FIFA 22 released in October 2021, published by EA Sports as the 29th installment of the widely popular FIFA series. The game promised groundbreaking improvements to the franchise, including a new system for generating animations of players, based on motion capture data of over 20 professional football players, to provide a new level of gameplay.
In FIFA 22, players can enjoy a 15-year long career mode, with a brand new Create-a-Club option. Using the new tools, players can create their own club and personalize its every detail. As you play, you gain experience points that can be used to unlock new skills, perks, and stat upgrades.
What’s new in FIFA 22?
Nominated as the Best Sports Game at The Game Awards, FIFA 22 received overall positive reviews for introducing, as some reviewers claimed, “the franchise’s best release in years”. Some of FIFA 22’s new features include:
- The revolutionary HyperMotion Technology - a system that uses machine learning to create incredibly immersive animations, generated from more than 8.7 million frames of motion capture images.
- A huge rework of the VOLTA Football mode that gives players access to a range of special abilities during the game, boosting the player’s attributes. Using Skill Moves and passes will now build up a Skill Meter, which will make the player’s next goal worth more.
- New FIFA 22 Ultimate Team game mode that allows players to play both online and offline with their own custom teams, earning cards as rewards. Players can now climb ranks in Division Rivals and customize their FUT stadium and team with fresh seasonal content.
