It’s 1944, and the world is at war. In the countryside of Tuscany, a body of a young woman has been pulled out of the water. It is Marta, a daughter of a German soldier. Her twin sister, Giulia, begins a search for truth and consolation. However, she hides secrets of her own. Find out the truth about Martha’s murder. Set during historically accurate events, Martha Is Dead blurs the line between real terrors of war, psychological trauma caused by a loss of a close one, and mysterious folklore.

Solve puzzles and analyze clues that will lead you to the truth. Summon the spirit of The Lady by unlocking symbols and using tarot cards. Restore forgotten memories by playing with the puppet theatre. Keep up with the war and events occurring in the world by collecting newspapers and telegrams or by listening to the news on the radio. Take pictures and develop them in the in-game dark room with the help of a 1940s photography guide simulator.
