Additionally, the title is the first in a new series in which the tales and characters from the classic "SAMURAI WARRIORS" have been updated, with a focus on the lives of officers Nobunaga Oda and Mitsuhide Akechi in order to more intensely and boldly depict the era of the feudal kingdoms spanning from the end of the Onin War to the Incident at Honnoji.
