This bundle includes access to the base game Sonic Adventure 2 and the Battle DLC upgrade.
Gameplay
The game is a 3D platformer featuring two distinct playable story campaigns focused on heroic and villainous characters. Gameplay modes vary depending on the selected character archetype:
- Speed-focused high-velocity platforming stages with Sonic and Shadow.
- Mech-based shooting and combat stages with Tails and Eggman.
- Treasure-hunting stages requiring exploration to locate hidden emerald pieces with Knuckles and Rouge.
The experience also includes Chao Garden, a tamagotchi-style virtual pet raising mechanic where players raise and evolve creatures using items collected in action stages.
Battle DLC content
The Battle DLC expands the multiplayer components and side activities of the base release:
- Upgrades the Chao Garden feature with expanded mini-games, including Chao Karate and updated Chao Races.
- Adds 21 additional 2-player competitive battle maps across speed, shooting, and hunting modes.
- Unlocks extra playable characters for local multiplayer matches, including Amy, Metal Sonic, and Chao Mech.
