Amazon Gift Card
Log in to Your Amazon Account:
- If you don’t have an Amazon account, you'll need to create one first.
Navigate to the Gift Card Section:
- Hover over 'Account & Lists' near the top right of the main Amazon page.
- Click on 'Your Account'.
- In the 'Amazon Wallet' section, click on 'Gift Cards'.
Redeem the Gift Card:
- Click on 'Redeem a Gift Card'.
- You'll be prompted to enter the gift card’s claim code. This code is typically 14-15 characters long and can be found on the back of your gift card. If your card has a silver scratch-off strip, you will need to scratch it off to reveal the code.
- After entering the claim code, click on 'Apply to your balance'.
-
Confirmation:
- Once the code is accepted, the balance will be added to your Amazon account, and you should see a confirmation message stating the value that has been added to your account.
-
Using the Balance:
- When you make a purchase on Amazon, this balance will be used by default. However, you can always choose another payment method if you wish.
-
Check Gift Card Balance:
- If you want to see your current gift card balance, go back to the 'Gift Cards' section in your Amazon Wallet. Your balance will be displayed there.
A Few Tips:
-
Expiration: Amazon gift cards, once redeemed, don’t have an expiration date. The balance will remain on your account until you use it.
-
Multiple Cards: If you have multiple gift cards, you can redeem them all to your account, and the balances will cumulatively add up.
-
Security: Always be cautious and ensure you're entering the gift card details on the official Amazon website. There are scams that involve fake websites mimicking Amazon to steal your gift card details.
If your card doesn’t work or you encounter any issues, reach out to Amazon’s customer service for help.
