Xenonauts 2 takes us to an alternate version of 2009. The Cold War has never ended, so the iron curtain still separates nations in this timeline. Furthermore, the vision of a nuclear holocaust is not the only menace on the horizon. Extraterrestrial forces take advantage of the situation and plot with their human allies, called Cleaners, to take over Earth. You will fight them in the air, commanding your aircraft in real-time battles and during thrilling tactical turn-based land skirmishes. Train your troops, help them gain battlefield experience, and use your strategic skills to reduce your enemies' technological advantage.
Knowledge is power
You will have to react and command your forces wherever aliens show up. Therefore, you must construct and equip bases and recruit their crews to respond rapidly to every signal of a UFO sighting. However, every encounter is a chance to learn more about your enemy. You can examine aliens' bodies to get crucial information about different types of invaders. Between field operations, you will work on science projects, gaining access to new technology, vehicles, and gear. There are over a hundred options on a vast research tree, and your every decision affects the outcome of the campaign.
