New Investment in Financial District
Financial Districts is a mini-expansion for the city-building game Cities: Skylines that adds new features and assets to the game. It aims to help players boost the economy of their city and invest in the best industries for their population. The expansion introduces a new feature called “Investments”, which allows players to invest their money in different sectors, such as deathcare, healthcare, oil, ore, farming, generic industry, and logistics. Players can keep track of their investments using the new stock trading tab, which provides real-time data on their investments and the overall health of the economy.
The expansion also includes the stock exchange, a new building that allows players to level up their investment funds and provides a tax income bonus for office zone buildings in its area. Additionally, bank buildings are also added, these buildings add a new service to the city and improves the safety thanks to their transport vans that, while collecting cash from commercial zone buildings, decrease the criminality rate in the area.
Players can also unlock a new district specialization for office zones when they reach the “Big Town” milestone. Financial Districts are an option that the players have, these feature a new visual style and generate higher taxes than basic office zones but decrease happiness. The tax income bonus increases if a stock exchange is nearby.
