War machines and love
The world's conflicts in the year 2090 are handled by enormous war machines known as Wanzers. Conflict is rife on Huffman Island, the only land border between the Unified Continental States (UCS) and the Oceania Cooperative Union (OCU). A U.C.S. munitions plant is the target of an O.C.U. reconnaissance platoon under the command of Captain Royd Clive. They are ambushed by U.C.S. Wanzers, which sets off a chain of events that turns the island into a battlefield. Lieutenant Karen Meure, Royd's fiancee, vanishes during combat. Royd, who was recently discharged from the military, starts looking into Karen's disappearance. His investigation brings him ever closer to the plot behind the catastrophe and the people in charge of it.
