Servants of Death
An Ankou is a fast-paced action roguelike in which you transport souls from the living world while battling swarms of demons. Explore a haunting open landscape as the servant of Death, scavenge resources, and create items to aid you in your mission. There is loads of replayability, and each playing is unique, with several professions to imbue the Ankou, each with its own items and powers, random occurrences spread around the areas, and optional tasks to face.
Death has given you a new mission. According to legend, the last dead of the year becomes the Ankou, who assists lost souls in leaving the land of the living. And, for whatever reason, this is a hectic year.... Collect resources and souls with your scythe, cart, and tools from your living occupation to make weapons, improve, and survive. Each time, a recently deceased individual takes on the role of the Ankou, bringing wisdom and equipment from their previous life. As you slay rebellious demons, each iteration of the Ankou grants you access to new weapons and abilities. How many souls can you help by using your skills as a blacksmith, soldier, apothecary, cook, and others?
