Outlanders is a strategy game about constructing a village full of hardworking, charming people looking for a simpler life. Some people want to just exist on the land, while others want to produce great things. Use the broad inventory of tools and structures at your disposal to guide them to their targets. Outlanders are unique individuals. Ordinary people with hopes, dreams, and desires - you have no direct control over them. Instead, you place buildings, manage resources, and announce the number of work positions in each building, then sit back and let the Outlanders determine who gets which job, which house to live in, and which building to construct. You may nudge them in the correct direction by prioritizing specific chores or by passing DecreesTM, which changes the game's laws to allow for things like longer work hours and stricter resource use. But beware: these frequently come at the expense of your followers' happiness, so use them with caution.
