Explore ancient Swiss Gaul
All of Gaul is outside of Roman power about 100 BC. A Roman legion was subdued in the Helvetii-controlled territories by the war chief Divico, a young man who had received an ancient favor from an unidentified source. The war chief's covenant would soon turn into a curse, an ever-expanding rot creeping across his land and slowly destroying his mind and heart. As a result, this victory came at a high price. A mysterious man moves in, profiting from the mayhem he helped to create, as monsters and cultists begin to sprout all throughout the country. Divico embarks on a quest to find the cause of the rot and recover the parts of himself that were lost with the aid of the dependable but secretive druid Nammeios and the inquisitive half-beast Renart. The battle that lies ahead promises to be severe thanks to his own fighting skills and abilities granted by the ancient gods.
