About the base game:
The first-person shooter Isonzo sends us to the Italian Front of World War One. This time, the designers of Tannenberg and Verdun gave us a chance to experience mountain combat. Participate in a number of historical conflicts and watch how the lovely Alpine landscapes are consumed by the madness of war.
You may take the initiative and direct the attack in the game's brand-new game mode, Offensive. You can cut under barbed wire, take detours around mountains to flank your enemies, or use a mortar to blitz a passageway. You have a wide variety of moves at your disposal, including the effective use of sandbags, wire, ammunition boxes, trench periscopes, and sniper shields.
Historical battles
Join historical events from the Battle of Asiago to the Battle of Gorizia. The Isonzo game depicts how real offensives developed. As a result, during the same operation, the terrain will shift from hillside defenses to mountain trenches to fierce urban battles on city streets. Everything has been meticulously recreated based on research and field trips, including sound effects, outfits, and the homes, vineyards, and trenches you'll be battling over.
Playing Isonzo
Isonzo's historical authenticity will be appreciated by anybody who likes history. You'll select your class from six historically accurate combat roles and wield more than 30 World War One weaponry, such as artillery and poison gas. Furthermore, the flare system from The Great War is recreated in the game, and even the mustache fashions worn by the troops are faithful to the time period.
