Wally and the Fantastic Predators
In the permadeath rogue-lite game Wally and the FANTASTIC PREDATORS, you take control of Wally, a predatory fox that preys on helpless animals in their own homes and steals all of their money. Various NPCs will verbally insult you as you descend, but it's good because you get to embrace the backpack guy. Its approach is what distinguishes Wally the game. In between courses, Naruto runs across Wally, the oddball student in middle school. It is peculiar, good-hearted, and self-assured. Almost every aspect of the game exhibits this omnipresent confidence. A nice joke or a point can be made without fear of going to extremes!
You begin a run with a weak weapon, and as time goes on, you discover passive items, curses, weapons, and quests that permanently alter the rules of a single-play session. This is inspired by the limitless synergistic combinations in The Binding of Isaac (such as getting a curse that makes every bomb shoot a fireball at your face whenever they explode). Everything is reset when you die, making each run entirely different.
Additionally, there is a COOP mode where you may have your pals play alongside you to torture them; as it is local only, just one copy is required!
