Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water is the fifth main entry to the survival-horror video game series developed by Koei Tecmo. Mt. Hikami
This mysterious mountain was once a place of the religious cult of water as a diety. Many gruesome incidents happened here, including terrifying apparitions and other phenomena. Three protagonists, Yuri Kozukata, Miu Hinasaki, and Ren Hojo, start the adventure through the paths of Hikami, on which many died. Each of them has a different story and is driven by different motives. Explore the massive world of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water and venture through the woods, lakes, and cemeteries haunted by the dead.
Through the lens
The gameplay is divided into episodes, each led by a different protagonist and their unique story. The only tool you are equipped with is Camera Obscura, used to protect yourself from the evil souls ready to attack you. Moreover, by looking through the camera lens, you will discover objects hidden from the naked eye that shed more light on the individual stories.
