Cal Kestis returns
Jedi: Survivor is an action-adventure game that will let you experience an original story in the Star Wars universe. It was developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts on April 28, 2023. The Jedi: Fallen Order sequel begins five years after the events shown in Jedi: Fallen Order. Those are dark times for the galaxy, as the Empire is getting stronger and brutally crushes every sign of defiance. A young Jedi Cal Kestis and his friends are among a few who try to oppose the cruel dictatorship of the Sith.
Among Cal's allies are his trusty droid BD-1 and Jedi master Cere Junda, as well as some new faces, including a mercenary called Bode Akuna, who will fight alongside Kestis in some missions. The young Jedi will also have to deal with new powerful foes, such as Gen'Dai Rayvis and senator Pau'an.
Fight like a Jedi Knight
Cal Kestis hasn't been idle since the events of Fallen Order. He has turned from an inexperienced padawan into a Jedi Knight. Hence, he has new Jedi powers and abilities at his disposal, including slowing down time and using enemies as shields.
The combat system hasn't been revolutionized, so it still uses well-known Dark Souls mechanics such as dodging and parrying. However, Jedi: Survivor features different fighting stances to choose from. For instance, you can use a dual-wield, a double-blade, or even a blaster. Each fighting style has pros and cons, so you'll have to choose and upgrade the ones that suit your playstyle best. As you can see, dynamic fights against the Empire's forces and other enemies are even more thrilling. There will also be significantly more types of opponents that Cal will have to face.
Explore the galaxy
On his new journey, Cal will have to visit different parts of the galaxy. Each planet he discovers offers unique enemies and obstacles to overcome. The areas you can investigate are much larger than those we saw in Fallen Order. Consequently, you can enjoy more freedom exploring the game's world and dwelling on Jedi: Survivor. Furthermore, Cal can tame and mount local creatures to travel across the map faster. It's also worth mentioning that Jedi: Survivor uses the capabilities of PlayStation consoles, so every biome you'll explore looks astonishing.
