Monroe’s mother was a painter who was known for not finishing her paintings. When she died, the boy was allowed to bring only one painting to the orphanage. He chose an unfinished painting of a swan without the neck. One day, Monroe discovered that the swan was missing, so he jumped into the painting to find it.
