Alexandra Chen, known by her friends as simply Alex, reunites with her brother Gabe after eight years apart, starting a brand new peaceful life in the small town of Haven Springs. Alex’s traumatic past - the disappearance of her father, the death of her mother, and growing up in foster care - trigger her powers of Empathy, giving Alex the ability to see and influence others’ emotions.
After reconnecting with her brother, the two don’t get to enjoy much time together, as Gabe is killed in a mysterious mining accident. It is up to Alex to discover the truth about her brother’s death and figure out the secrets that the little town of Haven Springs is keeping under the rug.
