Stronghold Crusader 2 marks the highly anticipated return to the desert landscapes of the Middle East circa 1189, featuring a new 3D engine and advanced castle destruction mechanics powered by Havok Physics. This sequel aims to recapture the addictive, fast-paced gameplay and authentic castle simulation of the original Stronghold: Crusader.
Remaining true to its roots, Stronghold Crusader 2 blends real-time strategy with city-building elements, offering players the choice to play as either a brutal Crusader Knight or an Arabic freedom fighter. Command a diverse array of troops and siege equipment to determine the outcome of battles in the holy lands. Lead legendary figures such as Richard the Lionheart or the Sultan of Syria in two gripping single-player campaigns, complete with dynamic events like tornados and locust swarms.
To achieve victory, players must master over 25 unique unit types, each with their own special abilities. From rallying troops with the Sergeant at Arms to employing the lethal skills of the Sassanid Knight or Assassin, strategic prowess is essential. Test your skills in skirmish mode against AI opponents, or engage in multiplayer battles with up to eight players online. Customize teams, select different AI opponents, and design your own maps for the ultimate skirmish or multiplayer experience.
