缚戎人：唐建中十三年 is set in the declining Tang Empire after the An Lushan Rebellion. The story takes place in Liuzhong City, the last Tang stronghold in Xizhou, as the Tibetan Empire (Tubo) prepares a final assault two years after the fall of Beiting.
Story
Captain Li Yan struggles to defend the city and find a way out for its people. His children, Li Si'an and Li Yun'er, each face their own burdens and search for purpose amid the crisis. The arrival of a mysterious old outsider and a young girl begins to shift the fate of Liuzhong City.

- Li Yan: 47-year-old commander of Puchang Zhechong Prefecture, focused on protecting the citizens rather than solely defending the Tang.
- Wen Qinli: 53-year-old Chief Historian devoted to education and preserving Han cultural foundations.
