Reporting a faulty Steam Gift - what screenshots should I include?

If you're having trouble activating Steam Gift on your account, we're here to help. However, in order to resolve the issue, we need to gather some evidence from your side. Please send us the following unedited screenshots, making sure the taskbar with date and time is visible:

  1. the error message you receive while trying to activate the gift
  2. your Steam account inventory
  3. your Steam account gift trade history
  4. your Steam list of licenses

Please do not crop or edit the screenshots. Full-screen images help us verify all necessary details.

 

How to find your gift trade history:

Go to Steam Client > Inventory > More > View Gift History

 

How to find your list of licenses:

Go to Steam Client > Help > Steam Support > My Account > View Account Licenses and Product Key Activations (Note: We do not need your Steam transaction history, only the list of activated licenses.)
