Updating the Home system to PRO

Before you start: check that you're running Windows 11 Home (Settings → System → About). Save your work and keep your PC plugged in.
1. Disconnect from the internet (Wi-Fi and Ethernet). If you use third-party antivirus, disable it temporarily.
2. Go to Settings → System → Activation → Change product key.
3. Enter Microsoft's generic Pro key: VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T (for Windows 11 Home N, use 2B87N-8KFHP-DKV6R-Y2C8J-PKCKT).
4. Confirm the edition upgrade and let your PC restart. Windows will now be Pro, but it will show as not activated. This is expected.
5. Reconnect to the internet. Go to Settings → System → Activation → Change product key again, enter your purchased Windows 11 Pro key, and click Activate.
