Game overview
Invincible VS is a 3v3 tag fighting game set in the Invincible universe, developed by Quarter Up and published by Skybound Games. Players assemble a team of three characters from the Invincible comics and animated series and fight in destructible stages drawn from the same source material. The game launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on April 30, 2026.
Combat and mechanics
The core fighting system is built around tag team play and combo-driven combat:
- Each character has light, medium, and heavy attacks, two Super moves, and one Ultimate finisher, plus an auto-combo triggered by repeating light attacks.
- The Omni-Tag system allows mid-combo character swaps via active tags or assist calls, enabling extended combo strings, defensive counters, or saving a character from a fatal blow.
- A Heroic Boost mechanic amplifies Special attacks and increases movement speed.
- A combo meter fills as hits connect; once full, the opponent breaks free — tagging out can lower the meter and sustain the combo.
- Stages feature destructible environments and cinematic arena transitions.
- If time expires, the match enters sudden death: all remaining resources concentrate into one fighter whose health drains until one player remains.
Roster and stages
The game launches with 18 playable characters and 14 stages. Confirmed characters include Invincible (Mark Grayson), Omni-Man, Atom Eve, Rex Splode, Bulletproof, Thula, Lucan, Battle Beast, Cecil Stedman, Robot, and Monster Girl. Most characters are voiced by their actors from the Amazon animated series.
