The Risk of Rain franchise mixes fast action, escalating difficulty and randomized runs where every attempt develops differently. Across the original Risk of Rain, the expanded remaster Risk of Rain Returns and the fully 3D Risk of Rain 2, you explore hostile alien environments, fight increasingly dangerous enemies and bosses, collect powerful items and try to survive long enough to escape. Build stronger runs with Survivors, items and Artifacts
Each Risk of Rain game is designed around experimenting with different playable Survivors and stacking items into increasingly powerful combinations. Characters offer distinct abilities and combat styles, while randomized stages, enemies, loot and unlocks keep repeat playthroughs varied. Later entries expand the formula with larger Survivor rosters, more than 100 items, gameplay-changing Artifacts and extensive unlockable content.
