Two years later...
Nepgear and the other Candidates were sent to an abandoned research facility to look into a monster breakout while the Goddesses were abroad attending to a distress call from the remote PC Continent. They came across the Ashen Goddess there, who imprisoned them in a vessel and put them to sleep. They were shocked to learn that two years had gone by when they finally opened their eyes... When they awaken, they discover that Neptune has been missing for the past two years since her journey to the PC Continent and that without its Goddess and Candidate, Planeptune was devastated by a series of unusual epidemics known as the Trendi Phenomenon. Nepgear encounters the biggest challenge of her life when she unexpectedly discovers that her family and home have been taken from her.
