Generation after generation saw constant fighting for dominance among the various Ashmyr tribes... Up until now. The release of an ancient force gave people enormous and dangerous powers. However, the price for this was horrible - it poisoned their bodies and stole their minds, replacing them with cruel beasts. They became known as the Ilcyon and terrorized the countryside, destroying towns and slaughtering armies in the process, putting Ashmyr in danger. A lone warrior became a new beacon of hope. In order to survive the Ilcyon, he brought the tribes together, and he started a new organization called The Bound.
